Objectives
• TYO was created with a clear vision: to create international standard youth symphony
orchestra, grooming aspiring professional musicians and other career leaders through music
education, and represent Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through classical music, arguably
the world’s most significant art form for any developed country across the world.
• For the past 32 years, TYO have initiated annual auditions for Thai musicians aged between
10-25 years old, regardless of religion, education, and family backgrounds. Around 100
talented individuals are chosen out of 250-plus applicants to form a large symphony
orchestra.
• Each weekend, members meet at Thailand Cultural Centre to receive music workshops by
the country’s top professionals, and rehearse as an orchestra by music director.
